I notice some say it as "ar-nge" while others say it as "or-ange". Is it a regional thing?

Some people also say "far-est." This should be illegal.

I think it's an NYC/Northeast thing. My mom is from Queens, I said "ar-enge" and "far-est" as a kid (I guess picking it up from her) until other kids started pointing it out, lol. I grew up in Chicagoland

“Orr-ange,” “forr-ist” and “kear-ra-mell” — fairly standard for New England (west of the Connecticut River) and New York (north of the Tappan Zee Bridge).

Yes, it is definitely a tell-tale sign of someone from that part of the country. NYC, Philly.

I say or-ange (California).

Ar-enge. But I've heard Or-ange so much that I'm not sure how to pronounce it.

Ornj. One syllable. Rhymes with “corn” with a j at the end.
