Agree. Let's move it to the middle of the Pacific ocean. It can sink, the useless, expensive and bloated organization that it is.

The U.S. should withdraw from the U.N. and then kick the entire filthy corrupt outfit out of our country.

I think the UN should be moved to another city. How about Paris, France or Moscow. Then we as a nation could tell them to bugger off, and let the whiners of the world try to fund their own stupidity. Amazing how we supply most of the manpower and money to the UN and all it does is ***** about how the US does things around the world and at home.

I'm glad the City-Data right wingers have come out to play....

The UN, while far from perfect, does a lot of good in the world. The WHO and UNESCO have done more for promoting and improving world health and education than any other organizations in the history of the world. UN peacekeepers have been instrumental in resolving and preventing conflicts on every continent.

So, to get back on topic: NYC doesn't want the UN? Fine. Any other major city in the world would be thrilled to host it.

Let the world pay for helping the world then. As far as City-Data right wingers go, when they come out, they don't come out to "play", they come out to "right" things !!!

Why?
You state that it would be easier and makes much sense but you do not say why.

Default What has the UN accomplished?

I think the US should withdraw and put the money they are providing to the UN to better use. The diplomats, their family members and staff commit crimes but cannot be punished for them. What country does the same for American citizens? UN has outlived its usefulness and is not worthless.

THIS!!! The UN is a joke that consistantly has its collective hand outstretched for the US to fill. Sorry! But we should withdraw and scoff at the group as our enemies do.

In fact, just move it to another continent. We don't need all of the diplomats here taking advantage of their status in our fair cities.
