Miss has the beautiful Natchez Trace Parkway https://www.nps.gov/natr/index.htm, 3 great large public universities and campuses, Stennis Space Center, and cool beach towns like Bay St Louis, mild winters, and low cost of living.

Well in regards to quality of life, yes it sucks. It's also the poorest, unhealthiest, and least educated state in the nation. Taxes are low there which is a plus but you get what you pay for. Plus companies don't want to move there because number #1 look at their laws which discriminate certain people and number #2 look at their flag!

the suburbs of Jackson, Madison and Ridgeland, in MS look nicer than most suburbs that I've seen in other states that have higher taxes

It's close between NC and Florida, but I'll go with NC because it has the mountains and the coast.

My 2 favorite states (NC & FL) are tied, as of now, on this thread's poll, lol. My 2 runners up would be VA and TN.

We don't get no love at all. I'm going to claim my birthplace if they ask me where I'm from.
