I love the South since it's my home. To all you Southhaters out there, you have a right to feel the way you want. But don't try to convince us or anyone else that you are so openminded, diversity loving liberals. Because we are part of diversity, comprende?

Amen! I don't understand the openmindedness that some liberals say they have but it is only when they are agreed with.

What we disagree with is narrow mindedness...which translates to limitation of civil rights to certain groups, among other nasties.

Disagreeing with narrow minded people IS open mindedness. You can twist the words around all you want, but we all know the truth.

I like the South simply because of its food, rich culture, the friendliness and hospitality, the newness and bigness of the large Southern cities, its very interesting dialects, especially the charming ones of the Deep South, and just of the beautiful flora and fauna and feel of the area. There is something about the Deep South that just is very peaceful and serene. I dunno. That's just me. The summers certainly are not a bonus though. That's for sure.
