Every city will have Plain Jane-types, but which regions/ cities do you find have the most proportionately?

probably many midwest cities/towns with the exception of Chicago?? I would also guess Oregon, the Carolinas, West Virginia... this is not factual, just making assumptions based on the people I've met from there.

Cities/Regions with most plain-Jane types:

1. Small, tiny towns in Arizona (such as Crown King, Cleator, Black Canyon City, etc.)

2. Small towns in Texas

3. Some parts of the midwest

4. Appalachian areas (such as Virginia and Kentucky)

Not so much the Carolina's. I've lived in North Carolina for 2 1/2 years and believe me, there isn't any plain janes there, for sure. When I got out of the Army, and was still living in North Carolina, I had gotten a part-time nightclub job there. And the female bartender looked liked she could have been Pamela Anderson's cousin!!! She was strikingly beautiful (prettier than Pam, I think). She was the best bartender in that club.

There are some beauties in N.C.

I guess the only ones plain jane there would be out in the "boonies", as I call it (that live out in the rural areas, far from town).

Louisville, Kentucky.
Drab, bland, and boring.

Cities with less diversity. Cities with less tourism and attractions.
I think a lot of the NW, Midwest and parts of the poor south and Bible belt.
I think that the SW, NE, Cali, and Florida would have the least due to transiency, diversity, tourism, location, climate (for some), etc.

Pretty much any place that is far from the nearest town or city (out in the "boonies", as I call these areas).

But when you say "plain Jane", are you saying it in the context of a euphemism for boring or whatever other subjective attributes that can be applied to a city or region?
