LOL, of course this would come from the NYC contingent. I don't know any other city on City-Data where the forumers have such a high self image. Must be nice!

LOL, what makes you think I haven't visited? I've been to NYC several times and the food is very good. I have no interest in moving there because it isn't laid back enough for me. I don't think it's better at all foods than everyone else... but there's nothing wrong with taking pride in your city.
I also noticed that when traveling, and also living upstate and in Maine, NOBODY knew what a garlic knot was. They gave me weird looks at pizzerias, lol.
You haven't tried Sushi in California then. It's on a different level.
I remember watching Conan Obrien on the Tonight Show just after he moved to LA from NY and he said that the Sushi out west was WAY better lol. But then again he said he couln't find a decent bagle shop out West =)
