I'm a young adult around the age of 19 & I'm thinking about Georgia to live for a couple of years I'm from New York.. , the reason why I want to go is because I'm tired of this place & I got some old friends in Georgia also I've been looking & it's cheap as hell for a young man like me ..it's perfect , I was just wondering where would be the best place for me to live though , I'm bringing two other people with me so I'm looking for either a town house or apartment with rent no more then 1500 a month
& I would like to live in an urban part of Georgia , maybe atl ? I'm not a hundred percent sure , I've been lurking around this forum for a couple months reading everything , places like duluth & savannah & people talking about downtown atl as real crime ridden , I'm not really worried about that ..I want to be around the clubs & all the good southern food , mm , I want to be around the finest girls in Georgia , so what's your suggestions people of GA , I need to know , I gotta know ! Feedback needed asap ..thanks in advance .

Finding a job is 1st. Then where to live is 2nd. Once you have a job and can tell us where it is, then we can comment on good places to live (or try to live) with in some of your choices. Georgia covers a big area. To say live in X would do no good if you work in Y 2hours away.

Okay true , I'm going there with at least 15 thousand already so I can rent something out & have time to look for a job while I'm there.. so I have months to look for a job , the smarter move would be to get a job before I go there but I'm not that worried about finding a 9 to 5 , like I said I'm bringing three people with me & they'll have 15k each so we would be good for a while ..so yeah back to the question , where would be good for me & my people to live ? We come from new york so we like the urban look , maybe Atlanta ? is it as cool as the movies make it to be ? lol .

You might check out some of the lofts near downtown in Grant Park and Cabbagetown (30312). Cotton Mill Lofts (the Stacks), Mattress Factory, etc. There are quite a few in that Memorial Drive / MLK jr. Drive area. There are a good number of restaurants and bars. It's centrally located so it would be easy to get to any part of the metro area. There's a MARTA Station right there too (King Memorial Station), making it easy to get to events downtown (Phillips Arena) or nice malls in Buckhead (Lenox & Phipps Plaza) if you don't want to drive that is. Good luck on your search!
