South Augusta definitely come second fiddle to West Augusta when it comes to 'commercial'.

The truth is West Augusta is only but so big, that's what Columbia County cities took advantage of like Evans, Harlem and Grovetown. I see North Augusta region becoming more built up in 10 years.

Macon has a larger population than Savannah now, is Macon the superior city? I have yet to see anything that shows Columbus surpassing Augusta in population. Augusta metro is about 250,000 more than Columbus metro.

Every single area in the metro is second fiddle to West Augusta in terms of 'commercial'...

West Augusta is much bigger than Grovetown and Harlem combined.... Harlem is not really growing at all, and even places are like Hephzibah are moving along much faster....

Harlem is small compared to Evans but Harlem actually grew by 46% between 2000-2010.

Actually you only said 'South Augusta' plays second fiddle...

You're confusing me because I'm talking about this decade, and you continue to bring up the previous one...

A small area with only 2k people will make it easier to have an larger percentage of growth... If you ride around the metro in 2012, Harlem isn't really growing compared to the other areas..

You said it isn't growing at all. I'm just point out that you were wrong. My point is that Columbia County is an extension of West Augusta. Underdeveloped land and Interstate 20 played a huge role and both characteristics are in Edgefield and Aiken County. I see VAR being the catalyst for that movement.

Grovetown, and definitely not Harlem wouldn't be considered an extension of West Augusta... I don't see VAR doing nothing but mostly improving the surrounding area of West Augusta....
