Waiting periods, style and mag restrictions, certain age restrictions(old enough for military= old enough to buy a gun), cc permits, registration and confiscations.

Call it what you will an AR-15 , or any other military type gun, is designed specifically for killing humans.
What are pistols designed for?

Can you prove that statement? I know it must be true, or you wouldn't have posted it, but can you prove it?
I'm sure I have seen stats like that. Also figure that states that most shooters are registered Democrat if at all. No, I don't have a link.

Ann Coulter has another challenging statistical analysis:
"First- and second-generation immigrants have committed more than
40 percent of all mass shootings since 2000. I know we’ve been admitting
Third World immigrants at a breakneck pace,
but I don’t think immigrants make up nearly half the population yet."

Ann Coulter: Amazing New Breakthrough to Reduce Mass Shootings
She does cite specific happenings in her article.
I know, very suspect cite, eh?
"If you lined up all the statisticians in the world, end to end, they still wouldn't reach a conclusion."

I've owned guns since I was 12. I used guns more between 18-21 than any other time in my life. I used to go to school with guns in my truck. It never occurred to me to use them wrongly. I think you are vastly under estimating the maturity of this age group. I'll grant that maybe the video age has compromised sensitivity to an undetermined degree.

I have to jump through a million hoops and wait over a year to get a pistol in NY.
The second amendment does not specify any timeline or time limits. You get your gun in the end, that’s really all it guarantees. So no, it shouldn’t be easier than that to exercise a right when there is no language specifically determining how quickly that right should be exercised. The second amendment is vague as hell and if the founders knew what we know now and could see life today, I’m not sure it would have been written the same if at all. Reality is that life is MUCH different than it was in the late 1700s.

Well, which one is mentioned specifically in the Constitution as a right and which two aren't mentioned as one? Or even mentioned at all.

You'd better have some authority for this conclusion other than your own interpretation of the Second Amendment.

The Supreme Court just refused to hear a case challenging the constitutionality of a ten day waiting period in California.

The opinion of the courts means more to me than your opinion. Their opinion counts. Yours is--well--just an opinion.

However, the ARmalite Model 15 rifle is a black, ugly, scary looking, .22 caliber (on steroids), civilian rifle that was adopted by the military many years ago, then converted to select fire, making it a true "Assault Weapon". It may or may not have a high capacity magazine.
Personally, I would much rather have an AR-7 Explorer.
However, an AR-5 would be great, too!

Amazing to me how men would rather argue about categories of weaponry than how to protect the lives of school children and other innocents.

Listen, when I was a kid you could buy guns mail order with only signature saying you were of age.

Since this is a gun ban thread it makes perfect sense to correct people who make misstatements (notice I didn't say intentionally lie, which is really what's happening) about one or another firearm.
