Explosives. Howitzers aren't a bad idea either.

Firstly, minors have no inherent Constitutional Rights. What rights they do enjoy stems from their parents.

Secondly, convicts loose many Rights and Privilages due to their anti-social behaviors.

If these were your "valid reasons or reasoning", I suggest you try again.

Minors are still citizens, are they not? Wouldn't you say that everyone in America is entitled to Constitutional protections? The same protections, regardless of their circumstances?

No, minors are not "citizens", in the sence of the Constitution. They cannot vote, they cannot enter into legal contracts, nor can they drive, buy booze/smokes/firearms, own property, work outside of a family business/farm without court approval (working papers), etc.

Here in NYS, a person is considered an "infant", and refered to as such in legal paperwork, until the age of majority.

Children are under the care and protection of their parents/guardians, and recieve their "Constitutional Protections" through those parents/guardians.

For example, a police officer cannot enter a home and confiscate a child's computer, not because the child enjoys any 4th Amendment rights, but because, for legal purposes, whether the computer was purchased as a gifrt by a relative, or the child saved up their allowances and had their relative purchase it for them.

Children certainly enjoy certain legal protections, but these are found in the US/State/Local Law Codes, not the Constitution.

Ah, but more and more people are claiming that these "infants" have rights under the Constitution, and law, just as their parents do. That their parents or other adults cannot make decisions for them. Like, for example, having their lockers searched, or submitting to drug screening.

Survival of the fittest doesn't just mean whoever has the most physical strength or skill. It's also about who is intelligent enough to outsmart an adversary, and this extends to utilizing tools and technology, firearms among them.

You're right, making things illegal sure keeps them out of reach. Cocaine, marijuana, stolen cable, radar detectors, elephant ivory, anabolic steroids...Once we stop selling and producing guns in this country, I'm sure there will be no way on Earth anyone could ever obtain one.

More and more people claiming something doesn't mean the courts agree. Infants and minors have basic human and civil rights, but more extended civil rights are bestowed by society upon reaching a pre-determined age. If this changes, however, I'll be quitting my job to sell square-inch plots in my back yard to 7-year-olds for a few hundred bucks a pop...

Production hasn't stopped. Stop production--and you stop it at the source.

Ahhh the Troll strikes here too. Methinks it might be time to stop feeding him, people. He gets off on trying to get under the skin of rational people with his rediculous, although sometimes funny, remarks.

So, you propose stopping the worldwide production of firearms? While we're at it, shall we also end all wars, cure world hunger, and wipe out the emission of greenhouse gases?
