I can respect a university study by careful professionals much more than something on TV. Just because I questioned the scientific validity of this TV test means that I am displaying racism? Huh? I'm not saying it was or wasn't a bad test...I don't know the specifics behind it. But, given that it is on a news/commentary/prime time show I am immediately skeptical.
You still ignore my points about the difference between black and white statistics being the accrued resultant of racial oppression. Just because we race to the same finish line of opportunities does not mean we start the race even nor do our lanes face the same obstacles. So its no suprise that on average whites finish way ahead of us.
Well...ebonics certainly is not rooted in bantu.....so it must have originated in America. In regards to rap....over 70% of that music is brought by white kids. The way capitalism works is that what is supplied is shapped by what is demanded in the free market. White folks wanted to hear this music and their purchases of the music only encouraged more to be produced.That is why porn gets the greatest demand on the internet and its supplied. Before whites got into buying rap music....hip hop was not like it it today. It was more concsious and political like roots raggea or braggadocioius and boasting. Whites brought up a lot of that gangsta rap for you to be blaming only black folks. When you hear the loud bass booming in the car besides you....when you look over these days its a white kid.
There is another two type of people......givers and takers. Now ask yourself how was this nation aquired. Had you never been takers...you would have never been winners. Takers win all and winners take all.
You are very good at blaming Whitey at every turn. This whole thread is full of you laying blame on the White man. So now if you are done blaming, What do you suggest as a solution.
In regards to things being equal….not really. Just because you let someone run in a race and give them the same finish line to run to, does not mean that things are equal. People keep focusing on the fact that blacks now have access to the same finish line….but ignore that blacks don’t have access to the same starting point in the race and that we have hurdles left by past racism as well as present racism. Yes...we are in the same race as whites and have the same finish line...by law....but we are not starting the race in the same place and we are not running the same lane.

The ironic point being that in a race, it's usually the black person who will win. Look at the Boston Marathon: Since 1988; for 22 years, the winners have been black with only one exception in 1990.

Black kids are raised by black parents (For the most part. However, mine is raised by ME.). They grow up within a larger black family; aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins.. . They grow up in primarily black neighborhoods, or mixed neighborhoods.
Now, my thinking is, the most influencial people in a child's life are those who nurture them and teach them on a constant basis from day to day, and year to year.
Tell me again how it's the white people's fault that the black children grow up feeling badly about themselves. It's because they are TAUGHT BY THEIR OWN THAT THEY ARE INFERIOR.

So are you the defense attorney claiming that white folks were not at the scene of black oppression the last 300 years and had nothing to do with the assault upon black humanity? Whats the alibi? Where were white people from the years of 1600 - 2010 when this assualt upon blacks were taking place?

Can anyone please explain to me what "black values" are? Are they any different than "asian values, hispanic values, caucasian values"?
How would a afrocentric school be different than any other public school? Would the school curriculam be any different? I've know schools with large black populations having clubs to discuss african history that is above and beyond the world history that's taught in class. Would it be something like that?
It would be exclusively black. It would teach the black condition so children grow up believing they can use it as an excuse for every failure they encounter in their lives. It would teach black children that they are different than others and inferior because of white people.
I will watch that later at night. If you can summarize it I can comment but I don't have an hour to watch this video.
