Still no facts, this attitude reminds me of a story (similar to the stories espoused here about all the toxic waste chemicals)..

A medieval legend tells of a traveler who crossed paths with Fear and Plague headed for London, where they intended to kill 10,000 people.

The traveler asked Plague whether he would do all the killing.

“Not a chance,” Plague replied. “I will kill only a few hundred people.

My friend Fear will kill the rest.”

Fortunately the vast majority of the world's population doesn't live in fear of modern technological science....

I apologize for drifting off-topic like the above has but......

If it's such a problem that affects the majority of people in the US where you live where are the scientific studies, why hasn't the FDA, the Dept of Health or any other government organization forced warning labels on every product sold in America that contains chemicals?

Where is the public outcry that they are being poisoned?

I'll tell you why, because only an extremely small minority of people have allergic reactions, roughly the same number of people as are allergic to peanut butter, apples, dirt, sunlight and everything else they are exposed to living on this planet.

Why don't you start a new thread in S&T where you can present all your accredited scientific evidence and it would be on-topic and germane?

When there are no facts on why the government has nothing to back up some environmental claims we always hear the same thing, it's the $$$$$$$

I have no idea if those fabric softener sheets are hazardous to a person's health or not but I do know they can and do cause dryer fires. The conditioner applied to the fabric causes lint to become sticky and trapped below the lint screen and in the exhaust hose. I personally don't use them for this reason, I use the dryer balls which seem to work just fine. Never run your washer, dryer or dishwasher when your not home if you don't want a water damage or a fire.

How about hypo-allergenic and scent free softeners?
That is all we use due to allergies.

I have used "Ecover" softener ( as well as other cleaning products) for years because of its "green" credentials and because I know people with chemical sensitivity do not react to it adversely. Does anyone else use it ? ( I have not read all the posts I must admit) ? It seems to work very well.

I also have some eco drier balls which also soften the clothes and make ironing easier.
