Very sad! This whole green movement will destroy our country if we don't put it where it belongs and that is in the local state mental hospital!

CV - I suggest you re-board the comet you came here on. If the wind guys can afford to pay a land owner $6,600 per year for less than an acre of space they must be doing something right. Wind turbines are not a total answer but they are part of a mixture of natural energy sources, including nuclear, that will eventually reduce our reliance on fossil fuel.

FWIW – The ecos and green are not destroying our economy. We subcontracted that job out to our domestic mortgage bankers and financiers. They made a fortune while wasting our money on pyramid schemes and management fees.

The only thing those windfarms are displacing in North Texas is rattle snakes.

Denmark gets 20% of its energy from wind power. The environmental damage from fossil fuels is far uglier than windmills.

Not to mention funneling trillions of dollars into the pockets of well connected military contractors so they could butcher & slaughter innocent people who did nothing to us and their steal their oil.

They could have bought every household in America PV panels for the money squandered in Iraq.

And turn our country into a stinking, toxic, fetid sewer like China & Russia. Right. Right now 25% of women have enough mercury in their bodies to GUARANTEE a developmentally disabled child. That's not good enough? How about 50% would that be acceptable to you? How about 100%?

geos - huh? mercury?

Personally I think burning coal for anything but smelting iron is a very bad idea. WE need a mix of energy collecting devices and well a reliable constant energy production (nuclear fission with full fuel recycle) to handle the base load. As we transition our transportation from liquid fuel to stored electricity we will need a lot more of all kinds of power.

GW, that is a very weak argument and absurd. Segregating 200,000 acres in Texas to only produce enough energy to service 1 million households is grossly inefficient. More so it is an environmental nightmare waiting to happen and the costs will be astronomical. It would even cost less to put a sail on Haley's Comet than to do what you endorse.

Wind tech is far from being competitive and environmentally safe compared to traditional fossil fuel energy plans or nuclear options.

Thanks sandbar! It is to the point where this so called green movement is so similar to the Jim Jones Cult of the early 1980's whereas the lie is actually their religion!
