New Flights To Start From GSP to LaGuardia - Greenville News Story - WYFF Greenville (http://www.wyff4.com/news/24647717/detail.html - broken link)
Actually, this is bringing back service we had until a few years ago, but still good to see! The flight will go to LaGuardia airport (LGA). This will compete directly with Delta's LGA service from GSP.

Excellent!!!
It will also compete with Continental's direct service to EWR.
It's also $350.00 each way. Those were just random dates I checked. 11/01-02. It is great news though. Probably better for coperate people. I just can't wait for SW.
I wish I could find direct flights from GSP to Toronto. I HATE transferring!!!! What should normally be a 2.5 hour flight ends up taking 8 hours of my day! ....Might as well just make the 14 hour drive and save the money.

Funny story... (not really). GSP was supposed to have Air Canada regional jet flights to Toronto several years back. Was announced the summer of '01. When 9/11 happened, and air travel went down the toilet, that was axed, and never mentioned again...
Well, I think I found a somewhat acceptable solution. If I fly out of Charlotte NC, I can get a reasonably priced direct flight. I checked Atlanta too, but for some reason it's about $100 more.

If you MUST fly from another airport, CLT is much quicker to get to than ATL. CLT is on the "Greenville" side of Charlotte, and The Queen City is a little closer to G'ville anyway. You must drive all the way THROUGH (or around on I-285) Atlanta to get to ATL. Not recommended!
