I saw this same rumor on an Anderson discussion group three weeks ago but I have yet to see anything to confirm or refute it. I am skeptical until I see substantiating evidence.
It was reported in the Belton Honea Path News-Chronicle that Hickory Point was sold to 7-11, but it didn't make it clear if that was just the convenience store portion or the whole thing. Unfortunately, they are very technology-backward, so there is no online archive for the article. In Michigan, the 7-11 locations I know of off-hand that sell gas all have a 7-11 convenience store portion and then some branded gas.

Have these stores now been converted to 7-11? Locations?

I purchased gas there a couple of weeks ago and it had 7-11 on my bank statement. Unfortunately, the receipt doesn't print at the pump and I don't feel like going inside and waiting in line for a receipt. That's the whole point of paying at the pump--not having to go inside the store. I think they do that just to get people to come into the store, hoping they will buy something. Of course they don't post a sign on the pump stating that you have to go inside for a receipt. I find it hard to believe that every time I buy gas it is a coincidence that there is no receipt paper in the machine. I did not see any signs for 7-11, at least not on the outside.
One would think with an inland port comng to Greer conecting to BMW off of 101. Why hasn't Spartanburg County installed sewer? One would think to be aclamated to the growth witch is
101/I85. Why has the sewer between I85 and Woodruff on 101 has NOT been brought to I85. The traffic alone on I85 between
Charlotte and Alanta not only the traffic that will increase once the port is in. It would increase the income For SC to have
the convience for the resturants gas stations ect.. when comuters have to exit for the inland port and ect...Why wouLd the County not make it to where people comuting from one state to another to have more of a reason to spend money in South Carolina?
I have seen signs that QT is coming to I85/ 101 Greer SC. when will that take place. There really needs to be a gas station on that side of I85/101?
Anice one
More importantly has there been any progress on getting the sewer to the disinated place?
