“A couple of years ago?” That makes no sense. What is special about that place is the people that invest big dollars in it and the people that work there. It’s sad news when any business closes. There is nothing good about any business that closes because lives are affected and turned upside down.

Henry's Smokehouse pleads for help. Didn't know they had already closed the Woodruff Rd location.

So every place is special then to you?

There are just too many restaurants in this area in general for them all to survive. Most metro areas even larger than Greenville don’t have as many restaurants downtown as we do.

I am not saying that at all. What I am saying is, that kind of easy flippant remark makes light of the sacrifices of many good people.

Sorry wasn’t trying to be rude but I’ve been there several times and there’s nothing memorable or special about it as a dining experience. Lackluster food and if they want people to use their hard earned money to eat there, they should try to make a unique experience to come back to. Restaurants are a hard business to be in, you have to constantly be innovating, be engaged with changing tastes. It doesn’t seem I’m in the minority in my opinion in their closing. I never want to see local businesses fail.

Sully's IMO is not a Panera knockoff, at least not currently. Since Mauldin Deli closed, I can't wait for Sully's to open in Mauldin! Bagel sandwiches, steaming hot; hot potato hot! Love em!

Agreed. It's good. More a sandwich place like Firehouse and Jimmy Johns and much more limited menu than Panera IMO. They remind me of a sub chain in the Knoxville area that sold steamed subs which I personally prefer over the bagels.
