Not that I am aware of. Had 1 child there 05-06 and never was a problem. Didn't live here when KG went there so not sure what that might be about. I took it that he was well respected here, probably more so after his fame hit but I'm pretty sure he would have been a star player for MHS. As far as I know his mother still lives in town somewhere.

I am in a similar situation. I live near Philadelphia, PA and have been teaching 1st grade for 5 years in a large urban district. I have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Reading. My husband and I are relocating to Greenville over the summer. The posts I read hear have been helpful. I would appreciate any updated information on popular schools, or school known to be hiring this summer. I have heard of a new school opening in Simpsonville this year. Anyone know much about it? I am assuming it will be very competitive to get an interview. I am considering subbing or getting a nanny position if I can't get a teaching job for the upcoming school year. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

I know that most districts in SC try to fill new schools with in-district transfers and promotions from support staff (aides/assistants) before looking outside for hires.
