Bojangle's is proceeding with the construction of a new store on South Carolina 101 south of Caliber Ridge.

A third store, to be located at South Buncombe Road and Hammett Bridge Road, is yet to see construction.

Both of these locations will be franchise operated. The existing store on West Wade Hampton Boulevard (United States 29/South Carolina 101/South Carolina 290) is corporate owned and operated.

Nice to have Bojangle's, but we are still way overdue for Popeyes in this area. Both Popeyes and Bojangle's are primary competitors in the spicy chicken segment of the fast food market, with Popeyes being the dominant national chain. And now that Popeyes has opened in Charlotte, as well as Columbia and Atlanta, you would think they would fill in the gap in the Upstate market. But nevertheless, I do enjoy Bojangle's as well.

I will agree Bojangle's chicken is spicy. I usually use a lot of ketchup and drink my beverage to combat the spiciness. Does Bojangle's offer any dips to enhance flavoring like ranch dressing?

Seems really weird they aren't going to start construction until January at the earliest.

One of the articles referred to this past January. Obviously, both planned locations are delayed in construction.

What would it take for Popeye's to come to Greer and Greenville?

I know Bojangle's has two locations lined up for Greer, but they are overdue to locate in Taylors.

I don't think Popeye's will enter a market dominated by Church's because of the failure of the two being combined when operated by AFC Enterprises. It could happen if they think they can bump them out but there are still plenty of markets where they don't have the competition and don't have a presence yet. Lincolnton NC has one being built right now but there are no Church's there. Church's (and a lot of fast food) is disgusting so I'd like to see a Popeye's which seem a little higher quality, but again, I'm just not a fast food person so they can all go away as far as I'm concerned.
