Looking back at old posts, the Verdae store that opened in 2007 could be the last to open.I think the Anderson store opened a year or so prior, as if any of this matters, just courious.
I was in one of the "super" Bilos this weekend on hwy 24 south of Anderson.
My memory is that this was one of the last stores built. Whch stores are newer and what might the last store that Bilo built.
How Many Super Bilos were built?
In new construction, approximately eight Super BI-LO stores were built.

A new SuperBilo opened at Barefoot Commons in Myrtle Beach in 2008 according to this. Might have been the last one.
I never got what was so "super" about them from a regular Bi-Lo. I know the Verdae one had a minute clinic type place next to the pharmacy called Wellspot. It only lasted a minute.
I know a few opened in the Midlands as well. One for sure I know of is the Village at Sandhill. That was a Super Bi Lo that opened with the promise of competing with Walmart Supercenters. That didn't turn out too well.

Wellspot was short-lived. Its in-store BI-LO locations were closed within one year of opening.
I guess all remaining stores get the new green and white paint. They were painting the remaining Easley store today. If they are painting that one, then they will paint them all.
Went to the Bi Lo in Powdersville two weekends ago. What a dump.
I've been in that store 3 times in the 8 years I've lived in Powdersville and it was extremely dirty every time I went in there. Since the new Ingles opened, the parking lot at Bi-Lo has pretty much been a ghost town. Ingles gets the customers looking for a quick in/out shopping experience or for a more upscale selection. Walmart gets all of the value shoppers.
Not sure how they can justify keeping that store open.

The one at Verdae only appealed to me because it was open 24 hours a day I believe. I believe it now closes at a regular time. An indicator of things to come I wonder?
