Mentioned.Whats a good greek place in town?
Greenville has more high end dining options than most cities city per capita I believe, I could be wrong but I think that is a very recent statistic, the service industry is huge, every third person I meet is in some form of food service!

We went to High Cotton Restaurant on Main St. on our recent trip to Greenville. Very good food and excellent service. A classy place!

I was. Also, I knew about 4-lane Greenville, and bringing that back would make as much sense as the highway project that covered up the falls.

I believe San Fransicko is #1 and Portland ME of all places #2. I'd take Portland over the two any day.

How is the job market in Greenville? We are moving north from Florida soon. Have been looking at northern GA and southern TN. I have done some research on Greenville. Sounds very interesting. How is the cost of living? We are just simple folk wanting a nice place to live and have our families come visit.
Any advice?
Thanks

You may want to search some other threads, since there are many covering this very topic. To give you a quick rundown though, Forbes ranked Greenville the 8th best place to find a job in 2008, and according to the most recent Grubb & Ellis office vacancy report (yesterday), Greenville was one of a few cities that actually saw a decline in office vacancy compared to last year.

The Greenville area has a cost of living 17.76% lower than the national mean. I know that doesn't necessarily help, but here's something that might help, based on ACCRA data compared to the Greenville MSA (sorry I couldn't get this to work in table format):

Has anyone hear the latest on Ruth's Chris Steakhouse opening? I thought I read that they were slated to open sometime in October 2008 at the Crowne Plaza hotel. Is this still on schedule?

You are correct, especially as fine dining relates to this state's cities. Refer to a this earlier post in the Best Places to Eat in Greenville thread as evidence.

You can usually get beef at BBQ stores in town. I enjoy the brisket at Smoke on the Water, and for the grill at home, I usually purchase from our local butcher shops: The Chopping Block, The New York Butcher Shoppe, etc. When Lone Star BBQ was open on Pleasantburg Drive, it was a favorite of mine.
