The one at Wachovia Place gained and steadily maintained the esteemed status of "my favorite local coffee shop" since my first visit shortly after opening for business. That is extremely disappointing! Now I need to go cry for a short while.

I am not really sure why, but I think most coffee places are having a harder time than other companies. I know the Lava Java over here on East Butler Rd just closed also. Pretty soon we will have to start growing our own coffee.
Argh! PCJ had THE BEST coffee and smoothies i've ever had! I am sad about this one!
My Starbucks is closing soon too.
I don't get it. I can't get out of any coffee place without spending at least $5, after my soy milk and double shot, how can they NOT be making money?

From what I hear they were making money. The Main Street location was one the top performing in the company. My understanding is that it was financial problems with the franchise owner (debt....and lots of it).
Yeah, the same thing happened with Dairy Queen in Greer and Spartanburg. Fortunately, they eventually reopened. I also miss the Bob Evans Restaurant across from the Greenridge Shops.
