My husband is courting an offer to transfer to the Greenville area. Right now, it looks like we'll be going to Easley. I did a preliminary search online and on craigslist for dog-friendly apartments, but only saw a couple of apartment developments advertising and posting. We prefer to rent from a smaller, local landlord, but I can't find anything online of course. Where do local property owners advertise apartments for rent? Is it possible to search for these types of apartments from a distance or will we need to plan an apartment hunting trip?

Thanks for the reply. I checked that paper and there was only one listing in Spartanburg. Around here in CT, we have a local classifieds mailer (it's called the Yankee Flyer, lol!). Is there anything like that down there?

The thread below has a number of useful links in it. There are a lot of property management companies that handle private rentals in the area.
