You don't want to know what my Momma would say to a solicitor! She would just let the dogs out....

I've never had a problem when just politely say "no thank you, I'm really not interested" and they've always politely responded and went on their way.

Never had an agressive solicitation. If I did I would repeat myself once and close the door.

That has been my experience as well. If the OP is being repeatedly targeted by the same group I would suggest keeping up with who they are and file a complaint with that group.

Or just don't answer the door in the first place.

ITA, it's ok to say no thanks and just shut the door.

Default Insulting!

I find it insulting when someone comes up to me and continually drones on about whether i'm a christian or not. I automatically get angry and keep on walking. There is so much in downtown Greenville. It makes Greenville look BAD to tourists. Any opposing opinions?

I very rarely see anyone doing anything like that downtown (or anywhere else in Greenville, for that matter). There will very occasionally be someone downtown handing out tracts, but other than that it's a non-issue.

To show you how fair and balanced I am, I will rep you for making me lol

I was once approached by a man in downtown Greenville who asked me if I was a Christian. I said yes. He continues on to ask "if I'm sure"? And he still wouldn't stop after a while. I just had to walk off.

And I have been approached in similar ways in New York, DC, and Boston. What's your point?

It happened to me in Milwaukee last year on business. When I stopped and told the guy that Jesus was my L&S he was incredulous and almost wanted me to take some kind of test to prove it.
