Lake Rabon has a Laurens address. Actually it is not that far from Simpsonville.

I swim in Lake Keowee and don't think I have had any negative effects from the nuclear plant. I find it to be a clean lake and reallly enjoy boating there.

I used to go to Lake Hartwell a lot, especially when my children were younger. I just happened to have family that built on Lake Keowee and we find that we enjoy it a lot more.

Love Jocasse. Do not find the water to cold for swimming at all. Beautiful spot.

You can't eat certain types of fish from Hartwell I dont think due to the PCB pollution there. there is money set aside to get this cleaned up somewhat, but some well-meaning burueacrats want to divert the money to install floating bathrooms in the middle of the lakes. Which is a lovely idea in and of itself.

...and I believe that only applies in certain parts of the lake, a legacy of the area's past in textiles.
