Now I am down south.....I do make fried green tomatoes and enjoy (not love) them. But my fondest memories of childhood was my mother making *****lilly and chow chow out of the pails and baskets and tubs of green tomatoes after the first frost. The spicy smell from the kitchen was wonderful and then the shelves in cellar were filled with a years supply of summer tastes to last thru the long winter. Those spicy concoctions were great with home made baked beans.....with franks.....with meat loaf...left overs...what ever.
Jerry, sounds like you have to mow about as much as I do and I agree it's okay when it's not to hot. I just broke my mowers front axle the other day so it is in the repair shop--ouch! Like I have the money for that but it has to be fixed!
Gentlearts and elston--you 2 are so funny! Love it!
Off to work now--have a blessed day everyone!
Looks like another lovely day-----I have a lot to do around the house. I'm having lots of those "waves" lately....ups and downs....not sure how long they will continue but it makes for a lot of anxiety! But at least there are good times too so guess I should be happy with those and appreciate them as well! Hope everyone has a great day!
Oh I do elkotronics..not sure what I'd do without them!
Money wouldn't be so tight but hey, they are so worth every bit of $$!
I have been changing out my litter boxes--huge job--I've been using those huge Rubbermaid plastic boxes because of the one cat who had arthritis and couldn't squat so it always went over the side of the boxes. She is the one I had to recently have put down--sigh--big loss as she was a sweetheart.....anyhow now I don't need those huge boxes and the litter I had been using was so dusty I could taste it, feel it and see it everywhere even though whey advertised it to be 99.9% dust free. Not a true statement. So today has been dumping and loading that litter into bags to take to the dump...had to run to my store (since I get a discount and it was the only place in the area that sold what I wanted anyhow) [picked up 2 bags put one in so far and all the cats are fine with the new litter--whew! That is always a concern. So now it's the second box--boy these are heavy too...as I go I vacuum, dust and change their bedding trying to get rid of that horrible dust feeling I have even on my skin and in my hair! YUK! Honestly even my walls need washing but not today--my arms are really hurting so I won't do more then I should hopefully! I do feel better for me and the cats getting this dusty stuff gone! Off to the dump now and then maybe I'll even try to eat!

Hi Ho Silver away."
Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite! Saw that movie I've been wanting to see today with Mrs.elkotronics. It's called 10 Cloverfield Lane and it stars John Goodman and a couple of newcomers - a guy and a gal I've never seen before. Wow - what a tense sci-fi thriller. It is sort of an Armageddon flick - the girl is leaving her boyfriend and gets in a car accident. She wakes up in a bunker under the ground run and controlled by John Goodman. He is adamant the earth is under attack and warns the guy and this girl he "saved" from the car accident not to go outside as the air is not breathable. He feels the earth is under biological attack from either another nation or another planet. Anyway - just in case anyone wants to go see this thing I'll stop there - it's good if you like adventure and sci-fi - the flick does not disappoint at all. I give it a 92 out of 100 score - with 100 being the best, of course. Have good Friday nights everyone!
