That is beautiful. Tells us a lot. Thank you elston for that post!
Please keep me in your thoughts as I am off to work and praying I can do a good job!
That was an interesting passage, elston.
I will share one that always gives me comfort. It is from an old leather bound book, Essays and Letters, 1821, Dr. B. Franklin.
Franklin believed that earthly life was just a passage and we pass out of heaven when we are born, and then pass back in when our physical bodies are spent.
On the Death of Relatives (to Miss Hubbard) February 1756
"Our friend and we were invited abroad to a party of pleasure, which is to last forever. His chair was ready first, and he is gone before us. We could not all conveniently start together: and why should you and I be grieved at this, since we are soon to follow, and know where to find him."
B Franklin is a favorite historical person to me. He was truly a master of every thing from science to politics, with a shortcoming as a husband. Well "no one is perfect".
Once I got off work there have been lots of tears.........so many memories.
