I'm glad there's finally rail service on the Southside, but I won't use the Norfolk stop until after the actual station building is constructed. The idea of driving to a dark parking lot behind Harbor Park at 3:30am (weekday train to DC leaves at 4am) and standing around by the tracks doesn't appeal to me.

When will the building be constructed?

I've heard construction was underway now and should be done by next fall.

Hopefully HRT takes a page out of their book and builds some structures so the people at the line up can wait inside for their bus, instead of waiting at some vacant parking lot.

Yes, the train goes to Norfolk because I just called and ask and they confirm it for me. I am so happy it goes to Norfolk now.
