The Other Day i was on a thread and heard the most crazy and funny post. That the Hawai'ians in the past had a history of eating human flesh. I about fell out of my chair laughing. No folks there was one incident of man eating in Hawai'i and that was a chief from a unknown island that was not Hawai'ian. There is even folklore about the chief. I included a link to a website that tells of the true history. Yes Hawai'i was bloody with human sacrifice and wars. But no human flesh eating lol.

XXIII. Chief Man-Eater

So what orther things we hear about Hawaii'i history or Hawai'i itself that is false?

The discovery of Hawai'i by Captain Cook. The Spanish (and according to some sources the Dutch as well) had Hawai'i on their maps.

Then the contact of Polynesians with the American mainland (American sweet potatoes brought over here; Polynesian skulls in Chile, asian chicken in pre-columbian South America, Inca-like architecture in Easter Island and on the Menehune Ditch.)

Someone sent me a rep and said this YUP! Hawaiians murdered and stole just as good as anyone! :-(

I want to say that yes its true, but only until king kamehameha unified the islands. Further i never justify any violence, and no just because someone else gets away with it dose not make it right. Which i find often is the argument.

*King's Hawaiian Sweet Bread*

My Dad always has to let everyone know, "Stuff should be called Portuguese Sweet Bread!!"

I usually just keep stuffing my face to avoid any sort of confrontation....
