I think - but you can ask a census worker how to handle that situation.
I'm traveling between two places on the 1st of April. What do I do? Fill out the census form when I take a break on the interstate, and use that area as my "home" for the time?

They also use it for redrawing the districts (which increased dem representation last time districts were redrawn). Not sure I understand exactly how they do that, how often, and why that is ethical or legal. Census numbers are also used to help in the "redistribution" of wealth, which underlies everything the current administration is doing.

I hear today that census forms must be mailed by April 1st, or we will be fined. That means, if a census form is postmarked April 2nd, there will be a fine? How many jobs were created just for postmark checkers, I wonder?

He's only doing his job. It's not like he came by several times when you WERE home.

Tell me, how do you know it was "the same moron" who came by several times already? If you weren't home? Hmmm?

Finally, it really cheeses me off when people call police over such things. If you have a complaint, call the census office. The police have better things to do than listen to you whine about a Census worker at your door.

I agree. It's also patriotic to pay our taxes, and the more patriotic we are, the more we will be happy to pay.

Go ahead, don't fill it out! And then what?

Someone will stop by your house some day and knock some senses into you!

A census person came by and delivered our form for us, asked us what exactly our address is--I was glad to give him that information and we mailed in our form. I'm glad it brings some money into our community.

Has everyone heard the news stories about the scam census forms? They are the ones that ask for too much information, like social security number. The real census form does NOT.

I would guess then it's probably safer not to answer too many questions by someone who comes to your door. Better to take the form from them, and if it is legit, to mail it back yourself.
