Saw this report on the news. Interesting. It would be hard to stop my love affair with water.
If your "love affair with water" is your reason for showering, you should not be surprised if some people don't share your sentiments. Much less think that that revelation is newsworthy.
I shower every couple of days, more often if I'm doing a lot of sweat-work in the summer. But I haven't taken a *bath* in over 12 years. We don't have a bathtub in our house. Just a bench-seat shower stall with side-wall sprays and a hand-held hooked to the wall.
I haven't taken a bath in well over 15 years but the therapeutic powers of a shower are necessary (to me). We have a rainshower head which is wonderful. Even though the girls have their own full bathroom they choose to use the master shower every morning. Once you experience that overhead water you won't want to go back.
Even though that spray stuff might make you "clean" it would never take the place of water for me.
I just read this on FB. So interesting.
We are starting to learn how detrimental anti bacterial products are for us. Wouldn't it be great if adding or protecting helpful bacteria was the magic cure for some skin diseases, etc?
I'm not willing to stop taking showers, but I'd be willing to spray myself with the bacterial mist afterward.
Interesting article, but no one needs to spend money on that crap. I haven't used "soap" in a long time now, nor do I shower each and every day. I use coconut oil on my skin every day - it is cleansing, moisturizing and anti-microbial. If I have been working out or in the yard, I do shower, water only, and scrub the coconut oil off. I will then moisturize with another lighter oil such as almond oil. My skin looks better than it did 20 years ago, smoother, tighter and skin tags I used to have are falling off/disappearing.
I do still use a little bit of shampoo a couple times per week, however, as my hair is long and a little oily, plus I use gentle coloring agent to blend in gray, so I have to.
I was just wondering the same thing myself; thanks for asking.
