People who say No Problem are fortunate, lucky or whatever.
I had a uncle who was in the navy and came home with a tattoo and that was it in my whole family. No one else got into this stuff. My grandkids I don't think will either, their mother and father and families never have. I guess it's a big "business" in our prisons.
Things happen and yes my knee was a shocker. I gave myself injections for years too with allergy issues. Glad that is the long lost past. I'm still not a fan of tattooing.
So then don't get one? Why worry about others getting tattoos? I don't have any, but I don't care what others do. It's their body. If they want to tattoo themselves to look like Tweety Bird, good for them. I'll probably giggle when they walk by. Life goes on.

Listen I don't care if they get them, I was just posting an FYI...like others post FYI's on whatever...no biggie for sure. Personally, I wouldn't do that but again let em...

It's like anything else. You can very much minimize your risk by going to a reputable shop, checking that they follow proper sterile procedures, and being assiduous about aftercare.
If a persons suspects they may have skin allergies, doing a tiny test patch is always an option.
I am DEFINITELY painted . For me it relieves surgical pain and I have big pretty pieces that mean something to me for birthday , Christmas, mothers day, valentines, anniversary , whatever . We are all like that though so I am not uncommon in my birth family or my married family . Some are over 37 years old , still look new and covers fine lines/ imperfections/ BAD scars in some places, so thats a bonus . No infections and i have had them done here and in Europe in several different countries there . You have to be diligent in care and who you go to. Still sometimes things happen ,mostly due to lack of care afterwards or who they went to. My sister and one son are artists her and a brother in law is one in The Netherlands ,my family in laws home .
...and I do not look like Tweety Bird . I always thought he was rude .

People who get tattoos are well aware of the risks. You're not telling them anything they don't already know. Many states/counties/towns require them to be notified in writing when getting a tattoo and sign a document. Tattoo artists also need a permit in and are subject to inspections in many states.
It seems your agenda for starting this thread was to tell us your distaste for tattoos under the guise of them possibly being harmful.
Oh you think that's my agenda. ummmm
Did you read the link about what happens to the ink once injected in the body?
I don't particularly like to see an ink decorated body.
I thought of doing one but didn't as once done one lives with them. Do you have tattoos?
The thought of infection is there with any Injections, I've just been that route and not
with a tattoo....remember?
And one or more mentioned they did get infection from tattoo, and lordy knows how many in the world or should I say U.S. get infections...we surely don't have that figure. Thinking of the other countries in the world, probably not a lot of tattooing going on.
