and the big issue is how much of what they are telling us is legit and how much is simply scare tactics or exaggerated way over the top, It would take a lot of studies to prove this theory
isn't it interesting that what is supposed to be observed is cherry picked?
It's almost as if they only look at what they want to look at. Tons of vaccine injured kids/adults, definitely enough to include 22 in a report ... but no one's looking that way. Why is that???

COVID-19 = $$$$$
Are you saying it's all fake, we should reopen everything and move on because it's all fake news? The hospitals in some areas aren't really filling up with COVID patients? Get real, take off the tinfoil hat, and understand that the virus is a threat, and the American penchant for hating to be told what to do is making things worse.
The number of vaccine injuries is far smaller than the number of people who would die or suffer injuries from vaccine preventable diseases.

You know, I felt the same way about the H1N1 pandemic in 2009. I was working as a Respiratory Therapist in a 400+ bed community hospital. Our ICU had about 16 beds. We all thought, meh, it's just the flu, and it was. The pandemic of 1918 that lasted until 1920 was also H1N1, but they didn't have the tools we have today to deal with influenza.
Our hospital kept about 20 ventilators ( we also set them up in ER and the recovery room, and once in awhile, in labor and delivery.) Well during that H1N1 pandemic we ran out of ventilators. They were hard to rent because everyone else was running short. We were sent ventilators we were never trained on. It was not exactly ideal, but you learned really fast. I stayed after work and played with it for awhile until I was comfortable setting it up on a patient.
I watched a perfectly healthy 36 year old die from H1N1. That got my attention. I was 52 at the time, and that scared me. I didn't want to catch it. We had plenty of PPE and I used it.
This Covid-19 pandemic is far worse. I don't have to watch the news to know that. I have friends still working in the hospitals living this nightmare. One told me that they went down to zero patients until this repeat customer showed up testing positive for Covid and sick again this week after having been discharged last April for Covid. She was in the hospital for weeks, and now she's back again.
When I worked at the 800+ bed big box hospital we had a heart and lung transplant unit. Many heart transplants were because of myocarditis. What causes myocarditis? It could be as simple as the common cold, it could be a parasite, it could be a bacteria. If you look up myocarditis and causes, Covid-19 is now one of the causes.
There have been two lung transplants now because of Covid. One was a young girl right here in Chicago.
You can deny this disease is real, you can deny this disease is serious. Drinking orange koolaid will do that to you. I know how serious this is, and I know how much in trouble this country is in because of a botched response. It makes me sick. I sincerely hope you don't catch this like that 30 year old Covidiot did that went to a Covid party because he thought it was a hoax. He said he made a mistake before he died. Ya think?
Covid attacking your heart? Not much of a stretch. Many other viruses do the same thing.

Thanks for putting this in perspective. I'm totally sick of hearing armchair quarterbacking from people who just want to spout crap they know absolutely nothing about. When you don't know crap about crap, you should keep your mouth shut!
The claim was backtracked soon after it was reported several weeks ago. It's not due to the virus being anything special. Any serious respiratory illness has the chance to damage the heart along with the lungs.

I do not see how their conclusions are justified by their results. In essence they are saying more ICU patients die because they are sicker. Duh. They do not report autopsy findings.
The article in the OP does. If they are literally seeing similar changes in the heart in multiple COVID-19 deaths, odds are the virus is doing it.
Some day, the results of these early studies will be replicated or will serve as a jumping off start to other studies. The point is, no one has said the results found in the OP is absolute or final. It is information that is found by a reliable method - an autopsy. There is no "this is the only conclusion" to draw statement; it is a correlation at this point in time. Far better than listening to an uneducated idiot denounce the findings of an experienced specialist.

That's what science IS - making observations and developing theories based on them.
No, that's not what science is. Observations and theories are intermediate steps in the process.
At the end, science is being able to replicate an experience time and again, knowing in advance what the outcome will be.
CoViD-19 is still very, very far from science, we have very, very little experience with it, we don't know how to manage it, and we don't know what the outcome will be, not in one single case.
And they want to send children into classrooms, which may prove to be death traps, we simply don't know.
