I got the Covid 19 booster shot Today. Had my first two Pfizer shots in February and now my booster in Late September. I guess now, I can go out around people again for the next six months anyway?

Set up elderly moms booster shot for next week. Best to still practice all health protocols in your area and not get careless in any way...

I am getting the booster next Monday. There is no way I will not follow CDC guidelines, masks, safe distance etc.

Remember, shots are NOT 100%.

That's for sure. We just learned of a friend who was admitted to ICU with severe covid. He had gotten his third covid "booster" shot about two weeks ago. He has cancer, on chemotherapy and I know he wore masks, safe distanced, all that.

So much for the boosters........

I totally agree with you. It is good to get a COVID booster shot but don't forget to follow CDC guidelines for the prevention of pandemics.

Thanks

Yes. If you wait for the CDC to give you "permission", you will not live the good life. There will always be new variants.

You have it from me - party like it's 2019!

So much for cancer and chemo you mean. The booster takes a few weeks for full effect and it sounds like your friend has the odds against him with those. Sorry to hear that.

That's sad to hear about your friend, but I always wonder about when people say they masked and distanced. Like, was he wearing an N95 and staying 6' away outdoors, or was he sitting 3' away from people in a restaurant and wearing a cloth mask to the bathroom? Very few people actually take sufficient mitigation steps, thanks in no small part to CDC misinformation.

Yes, but the CDC has never told people to wear a mask covering just their mouth, with their nose exposed. And yet, I estimate that about 20% of the "masked" people I see are wearing their mask in that totally useless manner.

Do those folks not know that people normally breathe through their noses, or are they purposely wearing the mask that way in order to claim that they are complying with masking requirements, while not caring whether their manner of mask usage is effective or not?

I don’t know why some people think that(not that you do)—but they apparently do…
