An office visit at a clinic should cost less than $100--more like $50. Why don't you call ear-nose and throat doctors and ask what rates are for a 20 minute visit if you save them the paperwork and pay cash instead. Say you'd like a discount for cash.

In the meantime I'd go to the good ole medicine chest in a bottle, Colloidal Silver, specifically "Sovereign Silver". You can put it in your ear, you can take it internally (you could even put it in your eye if you had an eye problem). It works on fungus, bacteria, viruses and more, It can't hurt and it could solve the problem.

All the doctors offices are full up here w/ the big flu outbreak, so I gave up & went to the ER yesterday & got antibiotics (doxycycl) & Lortabs. So far no improvement. I'm sure the flu isn't helping any.

When I experienced the ringing, crackling and poping along with the build up of pressure, it turned out to be tinitus. Give the Antibiotics 24 hours to work,

I've been on doxyclcline since Friday, still no change. Fever was 101.2 a little while ago. Lortabs help a little, but it still hurts like hell. Can't hear a thing out of that ear. WOnder ing if I should give the antibiotics more time or go back to ER

My ear hurts really bad basically all of the right side of my head and neck hurts and I can hear out of the ear but barely, anytime I sneeze cough burp or yawn it hurts so bad  I tried putting a hot washcloth under it last night and that helped it to not hurt but as soon as it cooled of my ear seemed worse...  I can't go to a doctor due to no insurance and I need help...
