Ronald Reagan was the one who put the government on a limitless budget, ruined the pension system and hurt middle class America more than any president in history. Jefferson Davis did less damage.

Republican Presidents have been anything BUT conservative when it comes to spending YOUR money.

I like the chart. Interesting how it looks like he is giving the finger in '99

You are good at ignoring the Repugs that defeated the monies for that extra security, oh I guess that doesn't support your "I hate Obama" platform? typical when your news source is Fox.

Reagan switched parties right before marrying Nancy, her father suggested Reagan would do better financially if aligned with republican interests. He was more ready to succeed than to represent your avg person. Prior to that, this man strongly countenanced the democratic dream of balanced taxation across all classes based on wealth. There was absolutely no money left in the treasury for anything long before he left, his contra arms fiasco showed what putting ones hand on the bible in front of his countryman stands for: nothing, he stripped away what was left to get and dumped it all in the coffers of the people and industries that bankrolled that election. You hear people talk about his performances on TV, and how his feel good persona magnified him as if all is put right, we have taken welfare from those undeserving classes, moved it over to the deserving class: mega farms, concrete highway builders, and of course the defense contractors such as the ones that allowed the sale of illegal arms. This was an actual presidency? Under the constitution rules of representation and separation? Ahem, uh huh
Me and my friends starved through that debacle, atleast it does end albeit temporarily at best.

Carter: His was the 1st to suggest an investment to move domestic energy solutions way forward,
5billion dollars to start the process, Just think of where that puts the US today, wow factor times 100!! Now, we play catchup, and where this ends is a feared unknown. California wanted that water pumped up and over the mountains, Carter said it was an extreme version of gov. waste, soon after he lost support of his own party and the rest shows one what hell carried forth(Reagan). I truly admired the man, both for his intelligence(174IQ)and the decency.
If you were willing to look in the Public University Labs today, you'll find dedicated students scrambling after pennies and band aids, a life long school process ends with this unfunded disaster in US colleges. What once was is very much no more, and to think why we do not move ahead, our own children have neither the means nor the support to help be the generation that would have and could have been that means to add to our own era of hard work and discovery. My son describes the situation as grim, and when he hears our genre rail against supporting public endeavors, it leaves a bitter trail of neglect against that very group who is expected to protect and defend when we no longer can. I have heard of many that no longer want to call this country home, for it does not really build that house very well anymore.

They also spend it on usless things like killing inocents in Iraq, Afgfanistan and Vietnam. Billions more on giant aircraft carriers, nuclear weapons that we hopw an pray never get used. Locking up people for having, using or growing marijuana. Bailing out investment bankers, shady savings and loans and failing companies like Lockheed. You get th picture.
