We have a black granite composit sink too and like it a lot. We do not have granite countertops yet (actually we will probably do soapstone) but when we do we plan to reuse the sink as an undermount. Jay

NC, I wish I'd seen this thread before.

We have quartz countertops that are beige with specs of brown, white and black in them. We have a black granite (matte) undermounted sink that looks terrific with it. We just love it and it always looks terrific.

Our friends just installed polished granite that was most cream with darker colors with a cream granite sink (matte). It looks great. I agree, you need to look at the finishes together.

The slick black granite just didn't look right against the black matte granite sink. At least not to me.

The stainless steel sink does look awesome though!

Too bad, as I like the granite sinks better.

I think you made a good choice.

I think you made the choice. I have light colored granite counters with the black granite sink and LOVE it, but if I had black granite counters, I would go with SS. Post pics when it's done!

Good choice! I ordered my SS sink from Overstock. I used to have solid surface. I love the SS for looks and for cleaning. Enjoy!

Solid surface (Corian, etc.) sinks are nothing like granite sinks - 5 years after you install a granite sink it will look as good as the day you installed it and it doesn't dent like a stainless steal sink or scratch like a stainless steal sink....for the OP stainless was the best choice because she had a shiny black granite.
