Not sure if right forum......

Has anyone steam cleaned their microfiber couch. My wife and I have a nice L shaped set from Lane, half is unused and the other half is starting to get a little soiled.

I was googling it and some seemed to do it ok but I wanted to get CD's opinion.

TIA

Did you get the "water stains" by using water in the cleaner or did you use something else?

I sense wiped a few cushions with rubbing alcohol and while it made it cleaner, it almost seemed like the color was coming out. It's tough to say because dirt is brown and so is the color of my couch.

I want to steam clean it just concerned about having "water rings" on the couch. It's not a cheap couch.

No water stains. What I did was started on one side of the cushion, for the test. I figured if I ruined one cushion I could keep that side down. My sofa is a carmel color. It didn't seem to do anything to the fabric so I continued on. I cleaned the whole sofa with no problems and was a bit grossed out how dirty it actually was. I used a spotbot cleaner I had. It had attachments to do furniture. I hope that helps.
