You obviously have an axe to grind and I am simply not interested in it.
BTW, learn how to spell.
Where do you see anything spelled incorrectly in that post?
Regardless of personal feelings-
A homeowner only has control over their own property. As long as the neighborhood doings are legal and approved by whatever officials preside over whatever it is- too damn bad for every one else.
My recommendation for people who want complete control over their immediate surroundings? Buy a helluva large parcel of land and put your house in the center.
Otherwise, accept that you can't control everyone and get on with your life. Whether this means moving, putting up a tall fence or planting a stand of fast growing trees- just do it.

There's one error, a typing error. She clearly didn't have an intelligent rebuttal. That's all she could say. Funny!

I agree with the above. I mean, you can't expect to buy in a neighborhood and have things your way. This thread is really no different than the ones where someone buys in an HOA and then comes on here to complain that they are all communists because they won't let you build a 6-car garage. Sounds like no one is doing anything illegal so why should your neighbor care what you think if their plans meet their needs on their lot??

That's exactly what I did for the reasons above. I don't want to have to deal with someone else so close to me or look at their eye sore of an addition. The only drawback is come winter I have almost 300' of driveway to deal with.

Sounds like a good excuse to either buy a four wheel drive or else to hibernate I could lay in a stock of good chocolate and some books to read and be good for quite a while. lol
I would NOT want to be in an HOA neighborhood, period. I don't like rules.
I don't get it. You complain in your first post that you will hold your neighbor to every rule you can yet you don't like rules.
To be honest, it sounds like you are a control freak with how you are going behind your neighbors back.
