Yes, it did after Katrina. It makes Champions look bad.

My brother just moved there two weeks ago so it is still early to tell, but from what he says he has seen so far, it seems to be along the lines of what you are saying.

The landscaping is nice, there are more parks that are always filled with young kids (7 days a week). Lots of people walking there dogs.

From the way it sounds it seems the area is getting better.

I heard that the bulk of the crime is petty theft which is not as scary as the tons of rapes, robberies and murders in Fondren and Alief

Landscaping is nice in Greenspoint? Is that a joke?

why are you so sour? did you get violated in GP or something?

I said the landscape was nice, you thought it was a joke, I posted examples, what more do you want? silver bells and cockle shells?

It has been awhile since I have been out there. Back when they did, or more like tried to do, the transformation from Greenspoint to Cityview with all the apartment upgrades, I did notice how great the medians looked. If they have been kept up since then, then yes, they looked great. They also had a nice park on Greens Road they put in. Just driving through it looked good, but looks can be decieving.

I would like to be able to be more positive about the area beyond the esplanades, but I just can't.

Anytime you have that many complexes squeezed into an area, it will go down and there will be no saving it. It is what it is.

I have braved some "transitional" hoods in my time, but Greenspoint is the only one that I have ever actually had a problem in. That incident was 25 years ago when it was better than it is now, although that isn't saying much.

I have heard lot of bad things about GP. Overall, its not a good place to live unless you are desperate.

Which place are we comparing the landscape to?

If you want to see real landscapes then go to The Woodlands, Kingwood, Sugar Land, Katy.
