My response it to mow and edge the lawn and try to get as much grass/mud on their vehicle as possible then turn the sprinklers on.

This morning, one of those cars was parked in the street in front of my house with the a$$ end hanging into my driveway. Now THAT pissed me off. If it's still there when I get home, I'll go over and knock on the door. I have to be careful though. The owner is a starting offensive lineman for the Texans.

I nicely warned my neighbor that I will not pay one penny if we run into his car. He moved his cars for a while but then he started again. Exactly as we anticipated, recently in one early morning my wife backed her SUV straight into his car damaging his rear driver door, really bad. The neighbor tried to hint to me that he would like my insurance to pay for the damage and I give him the look where I said, I WARNED you this will happen. I also told him that I don't mind my insurance to pay for the damage but as far as the being nice neighbor part, is over and from that point on the rules will drastically change. He fixed his own car, he is no longer parking in the street and we get along just fine. Him and his family are out for a month now and actually I am watching his house, pool and taking care of their cat and dog. Grown ups do find a way to compromise and fix their differences if there is common sense.
Most cities have an ordinance that prohibits cars parked in their own driveway from blocking the sidewalk. Very few of the new neighborhoods have driveway throats deep enough to park more than 1 car in the driveway without blocking the sidewalk.

Is your solution to just illegally block the sidewalk?

Also, warning or not, if you run into his car you are legally obligated to repair it. If you leave without taking care of it, it is considered a hit/run.

I happen to agree with you about parking behind another persons driveway, (I live in the Heights on the most narrow street in existence, and I have people parked behind my driveway constantly...drives me nuts, especially since its extremely hard to get my F250 out of the driveway as it is) but the way these developers build these subdivisions they cram as many houses as possible onto as little land as possible to maximize their own profit....The only real solution is to stop buying houses crammed onto TINY lots...they are just future slums.

HOAs have a lot of power, which their constituents give them. Be careful to read what you sign. What I will never get is why someone cares if someone else parks in front of their house. The street is public property. As long as you're not crapping in my lawn then I don't see the problem.
