I don't usually post links to newspaper sites, so we'll post links to Marshall or the Parthenon when they have this information, but the Maier Foundation, based in Charleston, has funded a $1.5 million grant to assist in the new aviation program. That should go a long way toward getting the program started.

Wasn't the original plan to build it on the 1500 block? If so, I wonder if anything will be built on that particular block now? A good spot for some new housing stock. Condos over top a grocery store?

That was my understanding. MU also owns the building where Husson’s Pizza was. There had previously been a plan to turn that into a new student housing building with shops on the bottom and then the new business school across from that. Hopefully Marshall will do something with the buildings that will move that area forward.
