I haven't heard any plans yet. I think that it would be a great place for an Irish Pub type of restaurant thgouh. We don't really have anything like that around here and it would be food people would generally identify with. Plus, I have a feeling that the Guthrie's would put their own, unique spin on it.

I used to fix shoes for the Scottish Dance troop, lots of rebuilds the week before Saint Patrick's Day, they said it was their busiest week getting gigs at Irish pubs because the Irish are so drunk they don't know the difference between a Scottish and Irish dances. Then they danced around my work shop showing me the difference, then I let one take a sword form the wall and do a sword dance.

So an Irish Pub will benefit the Irsh and Scottish dancers and shoe repair

Prime Engineering and Mack's Shoes set to open soon downtown. Once these two businesses open, 3rd Ave from 8th street to 10th street will have full occupancy. It'd be interesting to see how long it's been since that has happened.

How many spaces are available at Pullman Sq right now? Seems like they are having more trouble keeping storefronts filled than the folks across the street.

There's actually only one open spot at Pullman right now I believe and that's the former 5 Guys. The Appalachian Boarding Company and The Nail salon have weird hours but I believe both are still open. I'm not sure that small space between Coldstone and Jos A Banks is actively seeking to be leased as they use it for storage. An article a few months back mentioned that they were close to bringing something to the former 5 Guys spot but I haven't heard anything since.
