It was a great ending. Herd That was playing to win and TMT started playing not to lose. It definitely showed in the play and the final result.

My guess is that any football games anywhere this fall are very much in doubt. However, as things stand today, Marshall is hosting EKU at The Joan on September 5. They go to Eastern Carolina on September 12, and Appy State comes to Huntington on September 19.

There is no information about fans in the stadium. Yet.

Is anybody taking wagers on whether these games will happen?

I imagine what they'll try to do is allow season ticket holders in to watch the games but with space allowed between seats. After the backlash the Big10 has had, I imagine that some games will be played. We'll see how far they make it through the season though.

Now that the Major League Baseball/Minor League Baseball realignment and contraction has been completed and announced, unfortunately any idea of having an affiliated minor league baseball team share the hopefully to be built Marshall University Baseball stadium is now a dead end.

The team in Charleston, and even the minor league baseball team in Lexington KY, lost their affiliation and are now facing an uncertain future to remain open. They may have to look to join an independent league team but that move comes with much higher operational costs.
