Just a note to let you know that there are people from Germany that live here in Huntsville. There are also many Americans here that have lived in Germany for a while. I lived there for 17 years myself.

There is a new restaurant that opened here about 4 or 5 months called the Schnitzel Ranch. I have ate there a few times, enough to know that the family that runs it is from Pirmasens. At least one employee was born in Kaiserslautern although she moved here many years ago.

I have a co-worker who is also married to a German lady.

I do not think you will you will have any problem meeting up with your fellow countrymen.

Of course now that it is almost 2009 you are probably here and enjoying our area and the HUGE German community. If you have access to the Arsenal you will find many German friends on the golf course and at the bowling alley in almost every league. There are several stores that cater to German and European foods and there is an Aldi in Decatur. Welcome to the Huntsville, Madison, Harvest area.

Forum user named allandall is from Germany and just moved to Huntsville in August. Look around the apartment topics for him.

By the way, Stuttgart was the pinnacle of my career. I fondly reminisce often of my time there while I was stationed at Kelley Barracks.

That's why no one replies to it, because no one has responded to this topic for 3 years. This thread needs to be closed, IMO
