Actually, it should say "Space Command staying in Colorado Springs"

It's too bad Biden didn't uphold Trump's gift to red Alabama. Shocked that he did something for a state that will actually VOTE FOR HIM.
Point of interest, just for fun - El Paso County Colorado (where Colorado Springs is) voted for Trump, not Biden.

Katie Britt says the fight is not over but she’s light on details. The article point to the House’s plan but she is in Senate. And doesn’t specific what steps.

Said this before but thank goodness the BRAC process 20 years ago didn’t go thru this chaos. Sure Ft McClellan lost a lot but Redstone gained more in the end.

well procedures and policies are in place to prevent this type of mess, but the Air Force sounds like they manipulated and changed/ ignored the result. The General buying property isn't really and issue but they knew the choice since at least May (probably much sooner) when biden visited colorado. A lot of time and money was wasted by communities that followed the rules only to see it not matter in the decision.
The military has serious issues if this allowed to happen.

they have had plenty of time to get their stories straight but we'll see what comes of it.

U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala) has called top Pentagon decision makers to testify before the House Armed Services Committee on what he calls “President Biden’s politically motivated” decision to locate U.S. Space Command headquarters in Colorado.

And the Alabama Attorney General

Federal probe coming on SpaceCommand base decision:

The U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO) will investigate the decision to locate U.S. Space Command headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo., the office told AL.com today.

“Yes, we accepted the request and we will issue a report,” GAO spokesman Charles Young said. “The first thing that will occur now is that the team will determine the full scope of what we will cover and the methodology to be used.”
