I see it as a positive. Let's get most of the inventory cleaned up and get our market straightened up again Huntsville has been growing leaps and bounds over the past few years, along with slow and steady appreciation rates.

Not so great I don't think there will be as many new starts on building. We have too much inventory still on the ground. Several builders are doing just fine, while a few are losing their tails as we speak, sadly. There are a few new developments that are doing well. My guess is we will begin to rebound in 2010. No one honestly knows though. No crystal ball here...don't I wish?
I think the next 6 months is going to be tough for many, still, if not worse. Money is still hard to come by, especially for overextended builders.
Compared to other areas nationwide, we are far and above better off economically than most. I for one am thankful to be living in Huntsville.

Is McMullen Cove doing as badly as it appears from Little Cove Rd?

There are 19 active listings in McMullen Cove, ranging from $389,900 in McMullen Cove Villages, all the way up to $1,300,000. Only 2 have sold since March '08. One for $556,655 and the other home sold for $1,325,000. The price per square foot on that home was a whopping $247 a foot. WOW. That must have been some home

I am on here on my daughter's account tonight hence the wrong name. I live in McMullen Cove and bought last fall. You didn't list my home so there has to be 3 sold!!!! I think many people just haven't discovered the developement. It is beautiful with the mountains as part of it with great hiking trails. The Flint River goes through it and once it is going, the area will be wonderful. We are glad that we will not have to go through commercial before we enter the subdivision as McMullen Cove is on both sides of Little Cove. I love the turkeys that prance in front of our house with the herds of deer every night. And I like the fact that it is gated and will be more secure in a short while. Plus, our home is beautiful with all the upgrades. Good builder. Can you tell we like it?
