There are also apartments going up on Pancheri across the street from Camping World. They demolished the blue/white house and a mobile home that was right next to it.

These will actually be townhomes. Little nicer, less dense than apartments.

sTILL would prefer to have spaced out living at least with some more room between neighbors for the sake of privacy and space.

Bids are out for a Dick's sporting good store. Looking for where it might be but is a lower bid price so must be remodeling an empty space. Did notice yesterday that the old Cal Ranch store was leased so that might be a possibility

That's no big deal.
There are 5 locally-owned gun shops here, and CAL-Ranch Store, Big 5 Sporting Goods and Cabella's all still sell guns. Used guns are sold in some of our pawn shops and there are about 4 gun shows a year here where new and used are sold.

Idaho Falls didn't need another gun store. What was needed was a sporting goods company that sells good kayaks, mountain bikes, climbing gear, skis and snowboards, and other outdoor-adventure goods and gear.

Dick's only has 1 competitor in that area; Mountain Trading Co., and Mountain Trading is a very strong competitor, a local company that's been here for 30 years and is about as large as Dick's.

Al the money in the sporting goods business isn't in guns, and hasn't been for a very long time. It's all in the outdoor clothing, packs, boots, and all the other stuff everyone, including the gun owners, need when they venture into our outdoors.

The 2nd amendment is most definitely not a bone of contention here.
Everyone I know either owns a gun, usually more than one, or has sold or given their guns away. I'm down to only one myself, an old 20 ga.shotgun that's a favorite bird shooter.

I doubt I'll ever take it into the field again, but I keep it around just in case I ever feel the need to go out looking for some Chuckars again.

Pass that 20 gauge down to your sons or keep it in the family.

Yes townhomes, whoops my bad haha, thanks!

Also does anyone know why did they stop construction on the extended stay hotel to the south of Walmart on Utah and behind the new Deseret Book. I believe it was a Staybridge Suites. I’m thinking it might be financial issues due to COVID.

It will probably go to one of my sons.
It's a basic double-barrel. I liked it because it's light and so reliable. Chuckar partridges are such fast little flyers that if I missed, I would never have enough time to get a 3rd shot by the time the flock is long gone.
