Which one of y'all could actually live in it? Tax man will want his cut of the $900K ARV. You would probably need $400K to keep that place. Also, Harrison is nice and all but a full hour from civilization. I have well-off friends that moved from there to CDA for that reason alone. Nice to dream though and winning it would still be better than a sharp stick in the eye.

That is not how a home that is given to you works for taxes. You don't pay 400k in taxes. You pay on the 50k as gift than the house is taxed as income.
