I did read somewhere about the estimated number of entries for the Blog Cabin, can't recall the # now. It was still in the millions but was significantly lower than 94. It will still be like winning the lottery though.

No, thinking I need to get to Idaho the old fashioned way, LOL. The sweepstakes rules said "on or about October 7," which we are probably nearing the end of the "about" part. Still hope but yeah, still working on Plan A for the meantime.

Good thinking.
From the first, the cabin sounded like it would be more headache than pleasure for me, but that's me. I've never been one to think of a remote house way out in the middle of nowhere as a dream place for happy full-time living.
And I've never wanted a getaway cabin that would take more time to keep clean than the house where I spend most of my time.

True. And I've been wondering, since when did "cabins" become 4000 sq ft? I was looking at the Blog Cabin as a family vacation, go up there, enjoy a vacation there, then list it. The proceeds would then go into purchasing our dream Idaho home... which would be on acreage where we could have horses, customize a home to our specifications, etc. Some things I loved about the Blog Cabin, some I did not. But if I won it, I would have been one happy cookie, LOL.

Looks like it's a nice couple from back East. He is a teacher and a pianist. So are they going to move to Idaho, I wonder? Apparently (according to one of the comments) they just moved from North Carolina to New York.
