Misty, that's the very picture of "Christmas mood"! I can almost hear Jingle Bells...Next year maybe our cabin will look like that...

Howdy Porchers, from H & T in Texas. We have been following the snow report up on Schweitzer, and was wondering if some of the SP locals could post a pic looking up from town to Schweitzer. Maybe from Long Bridge,City Beach or somewhere that would show the snow line and where it starts. On another note.....

We are considering another visit, sometime in June or there abouts. We want our kids to see this wonderful area and see their reaction. If I were to guess,Pend Oreille still pretty chilly to swim in June? Our last visit was in Aug.and plenty of swimmers then.

Anyway, can't wait to be in SP again and if someone could manage a Schweitzer pic that would be great......H & T.

I'm almost as far away from Schweitzer as you are, so I can't help you with a local fresh pic, but I get a kick out of following their webcams here:

Schweitzer Web Cam & Daily Photo Gallery

From 8 am today:

and at noon:

You can also get some impression of the snow level here:
Lake Pend Oreille WebCam

The camera is in Bayview, and the blurry mountains across the water are the Green Monarchs. They're not as tall as Schweitzer, but the Cabinet Mts further away are almost as tall. So if you see snow on the Green Monarchs you get an idea of where the snow level is. Right now it looks to me as if it's at ground level like in Misty's pic and the Bayview cam! They've got snow!

I don't think there is a snowline right now because the snow is all the way down into Sandpoint.

McDuffs is my favorite place in town to eat! I really like their Knot Tree Porter, though any of their brews are good. Need to get there over the holidays.
